\nLavender angustifolia is the variety most research has been conducted on. Its scent is more camphorous than lavendin or lavender officinalis varieties. Anecdotally research data indicates lavender oil to have anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antidepressant, antiseptic, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, as well as antispasmodic, analgesic, detoxifying, hypotensive, and sedative effects. *For beginners a must have oil in any collection with geranium and bergamot, blending well with all essential oils.
